As an Alsana group therapist, Cheri’s favorite part of her job is learning about people’s lives, understanding their unique experiences, and witnessing as they become comfortable in their own skin.
Cheri has felt drawn to working with individuals struggling with an eating disorder since she started graduate school. Her holistic approach to treatment strongly aligns with Alsana’s Adaptive Care Model.
Cheri has prior experience as a counselor in residential treatment for adolescents and adults suffering from substance abuse and co-occurring disorders. She also served as a program manager for Domestic Violence Support Services.
After completing her bachelor’s degree in psychology, she earned her master’s in clinical psychology from Antioch University Los Angeles. Outside of work, Cheri enjoys her hot yoga practice, spending time in nature, traveling with her husband, and dreaming of being a beekeeper.
