Alexandra was inspired to join Alsana for its professionalism, compassion, teamwork and collaborative care. As a primary therapist with Alsana, Alexandra says she has never worked with a team so driven towards excellence when it comes to the best individualized care of clients, and with the utmost of respect for not only our clients, but also for each other. She loves her job because she has the privilege of walking alongside our clients on their journey towards recovery.
Previously, Alexandra worked in substance use treatment with men and women in the RTC, PHP, IOP, and OP levels of care. Alexandra is EMDR trained, has animal-assisted therapy experience, and is a member of IAEDP, the Alabama Counseling Association, and the American Counseling Association.
Alexandra earned her Bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, her Master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling from Auburn, and a certificate for family, marriage and couple counseling, also from UAB.
Alexandra has lived in Birmingham for eight years and currently lives with her husband, two cats, and two dogs. A former competitive figure skater, she enjoys going to the dog park, playing video games, and making pottery in her free time.
