Amy Claire loves the infectious energy at Alsana and is inspired by our leadership, compassionate clinicians, and the space to be human together with encouraging staff. As a dietitian with Alsana, her favorite moments occur when working with clients and a light begins to shine, and when their relationship with food and their bodies begin to shift towards something restorative, healing, and nurturing.
Previously, Amy Claire was a nutrition trainee for UAB’s Department of Pediatrics Leadership Education in Adolescent Health grants, a dietitian for the USA Paralympic wheelchair rugby team, and a registered dietitian at a hospital outpatient eating disorder clinic during graduate school.
Amy Claire earned her Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics from Auburn University and her Master of Science in Clinical Nutrition from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She is a registered and licensed dietitian and has almost completed her certified eating disorder registered dietitian work.
Amy Claire considers herself a foodie, lover of the great outdoors, and a sports athletic fan (to watch and engage in). She is one-quarter Japanese and comes from a line of Samurai blood.
