Jane works as the director of clinical services for Birmingham’s adolescent program. In this role, she supports and supervises the clinical staff, evaluates treatment outcomes, and runs client groups and sessions. She and her team are committed to addressing the five dimensions of recovery in Alsana’s Adaptive Care Model: movement, relationships, therapy, medicine, and nutrition.
After completing a bachelor’s degree in psychology, Jane continued her education at the University of Alabama and earned a master’s degree in social work. She is a certified eating disorder specialist (CEDS) and a certified Daring Way facilitator.
Jane serves as the educational chair for the Alabama chapter of IAEDP, is a NEDA Walk committee member, and a junior board member of Triumph Services. Prior to Alsana, Jane worked as a therapist and co-coordinator of the outpatient eating disorder treatment team at a large university. She also worked as a clinical director of an eating disorder treatment center.
Honesty, hope, and believing that people are doing the best they can are the values that guide Jane through life. She wants to continue growing as a clinician and leader in eating disorder treatment, and she is excited to grow Alsana’s adolescent program.
Jane enjoys spending time with family and friends at the lake, entertaining her two dogs, watching Alabama football, cycling, art/design, board games, and gardening. She is also learning to play golf and knows most of the different dog breeds. Jane was also on the Doctor Oz show!
