Kathy Burrola, MA, LMFT

Director of Clinical Services

    As the Director of Clinical Services and Clinical Supervisor at Alsana Libertas Residential, Kathy is inspired by her team’s passion and loves the adaptive care model and collaborative environment that is offered at the beautiful location. The healing that happens in this amazing location is magical and amazing for the clients and staff alike.

    Previously Kathy worked for over 10 years as a Clinical Director and Clinical Supervisor and oversaw 10 programs in a non-profit organization focusing on comprehensive Behavioral Health Programs (Substance Use Disorders and Mental Health Programs) that provided an array of services across Monterey County that included adults, children, and families.

    Prior to that, Kathy worked at other non-profits as a therapist working with at-risk probation and foster youth. Kathy helped create a school-based mental health program for the local middle and high schools. Kathy has been an Associate Professor at Cal State East Bay, and has had a private practice for several years.

    Kathy graduated from John F. Kennedy University with her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and her Master of Science degree in Clinical Psychology.

    In her free time, Kathy enjoys spending time with her family. She has two adult sons and two twin grandsons that are two years old. She also enjoys water sports and spending time at the lake and vacationing with family. Kathy’s passion is also Sensorimotor Psychotherapy which she is certified in and assists in trainings and will be starting her pursuit to be a consultant and trainer.
