As a senior director of clinical services with Alsana, Moreen’s passion for helping clients overcome their battle with food and their body started when she was a young professional dancer. As an internationally ranked ballroom dancer, Moreen traveled across the country and coached aspiring dancers who were also fighting to overcome their inner battles with an eating disorder.
Witnessing her clients and families heal inspires Moreen everyday. She feels privileged to witness the vulnerable ups and downs of recovery and support the brave souls who move toward it. Previously, Moreen has served clients as a lead therapist and as a clinical director in several eating disorder treatment centers throughout Southern California. Through her experience, she has had the honor of guiding clients and their families, and teaching other therapists about the process of healing from an eating disorder.
After receiving her BA in Psychology from California State University, Northridge, Moreen also went on to receive an MA in Clinical Psychology with a focus in Marriage and Family Therapy from Argosy University and a Doctorate in Organizational Psychology with a focus in Management from Phillips Graduate Institute.
Dance, travel, learning, reading, spirituality and nature are all inspirations for Moreen. In her spare time, she loves spending time with friends and family, romantic comedies, and her home is always filled a vase of fresh flowers.
