Rebecca has been helping clients suffering from eating disorders since 2008. As the regional executive director, Rebecca is passionate about collaborating with other professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients and families.
Prior to joining Alsana, Rebecca worked with eating disorder clients at a community treatment program where she saw clients for individual therapy and led various support groups. She also has years of experience leading group therapy sessions for all levels of care in body image, processing and guided imagery, and utilizes somatic experiencing, EMDR, and internal family systems in her work.
Rebecca earned her bachelor of arts in psychology with a minor in sociology from the University of Missouri-Columbia, and her master of education counseling and family therapy from the University of Missouri-St. Louis. She is also an LPC, IFS trained by Dick Schwartz, EMDR trained, and a somatic experiencing practitioner.
In her spare time, Rebecca is an adventure seeker and enjoys traveling and finds reprieve by submerging herself in other cultures—leaving her humbled, refreshed, and enlightened. She also enjoys hiking, yoga, animals (including her two cats), gardening, and spending time with family and friends.
