Sarah has worked for Alsana since 2012 and is now a primary therapist. In addition to seeing clients for individual therapy, Sarah runs drama therapy groups at our RTC and PHP levels of care.
She loves helping clients discover their own strength and internal wisdom, and joining them in rewriting new, healthy narratives of life. Sarah especially loves blending playfulness, embodiment, and creativity into the therapy process. The team’s constant commitment to staying informed, educated, and participating actively in the eating disorder field aligns with her values of research and psychology.
Sarah completed her Bachelor of Arts in Literature from the University of Central Florida and a Master of Arts in Counseling from Covenant Theological Seminary. She is a licensed professional counselor in the state of Missouri and has also completed Level 1 training in EMDR. Sarah is currently completing post-graduate training to become a registered drama therapist at the North American Drama Therapy Association.
Sarah, her husband, and their beloved black cat, Luna, live in downtown St. Louis. They love walking in Forest Park and enjoying the city. Sarah regularly performs on several improvisational theater teams and takes regular contemporary dance and hip-hop classes. She is passionate about the intersection of art, embodiment, play, healing, and cultural change.
