“Being honest meant I was going against who I was – everything I was always taught – the constant shifting, in and out of whichever character I needed to be for protection from the rest of the world.  At Alsana, for the first time I told a story that was mine – not the one I thought I knew was true… not the story of a girl I was in public, or the girl in the bedroom I borrowed growing up, or the girl in my parents house.  It was all mine – non-returnable, non-refundable – mine. We all come in looking for a little corner, a piece of the world that is safe – a place we can claim as our own.  Every person that walks in those doors walks out a different person no matter what, and we all take Alsana with us when we leave.  I found a corner of the world at Alsana that is mine and no one can take that away from me. If I dig deep enough I can feel it — if I listen close enough I can hear the sound of the trains…. I’ll keep a song in my head and hope in my heart. I am eternally grateful — with deepest gratitude. ” ~AP
