We want you to succeed and we know the first step is often the hardest. At Alsana Monterey’s eating disorder treatments facility, we offer three levels of care, plus virtual options for IOP and PHP. The ability to step up or down throughout treatment is always an open option.
Residential Treatment
Alsana offers three levels of care to serve clients wherever they are in their healing journey: residential treatment (RTC), day treatment (often referred to as PHP or partial hospitalization) and intensive outpatient (IOP)
Day Treatment
Our day treatment program offers up to 12 hours of programming per day to support those on their way towards regaining independence.
Intensive Outpatient
Intensive outpatient treatment offers programming five to seven days a week with both individual and group therapy for those seeking a safe space with more autonomy and a supportive community.

Sara Christine Cotterill
Sara Christine is the Program Director for Alsana’s residential eating disorder recovery center in Monterey, CA, where she leads a team of dedicated professionals to provide personalized, compassionate care to individuals on their path to recovery. In her role, she oversees the daily operations of the program, ensuring high-quality treatment and a supportive environment for clients struggling with eating disorders.
She has over 8 years of experience in the healthcare field, with focus on medical nutrition therapy, mental health, and eating disorder recovery. Prior to joining Alsana, she worked in various clinical settings, including inpatient and outpatient programs where she gained expertise in managing multidisciplinary teams and implementing effective recovery strategies.
Sara Christine earned her Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Food Sciences from Chico State, where she developed a strong foundation in the relationship between nutrition, mental health, and healing. This academic background continues to inform her approach to treatment, blending clinical knowledge with a deep understanding of the unique challenges faced by those with eating disorders.
She was drawn to Alsana because of its commitment to personalized care, holistic treatment approach, and its focus on compassionate recovery. She finds immense fulfillment in helping clients reclaim their lives and build healthy relationships with food and their bodies. The resilience of her clients and the dedication of her team are key sources of motivation and inspiration for her every day.

Stephanie Susidko
Stephanie joined the Alsana Nursing team in 2021, with a nursing background in substance use disorders. Stephanie is the nurse manager for the Monterey region including both the Residential and PHP/IOP programs.
Stephanie leads her nursing team by encouraging each nurse to let their light shine, and always putting clients first. She works collaboratively with the entire treatment team including the Psychiatrist, Medical Doctor, RDs, and Therapists.
In her free time, you can catch Stephanie at the baseball fields or enjoying the outdoors with her husband and two kids.

St. Louis, Missouri – Ballwin Area Residential Treatment Program
A serene and beautiful 55-acre campus is home to our residential locations, where clients can enjoy the peaceful grounds during their stay.
This Alsana location in St. Louis, Missouri has a team of dedicated and compassionate eating disorder professionals who are committed to your unique road to recovery. The day treatment and intensive outpatient programs are located in Fenton, Missouri. Our beautiful outpatient offices also provide programming seven days a week.
St. Louis, Missouri – Pacific Area Residential Treatment Program
Located southwest of St. Louis in Pacific, MO, Juneberry rests on a serene 14+acre campus, surrounded by trees and fresh air. Clients are welcome to enjoy peaceful walks on our grounds during their free time and can look forward to engaging group sessions and mindful movement, led by our highly credentialed treatment professionals, in the spacious outdoors.
Birmingham, Alabama Residential Treatment Program
Set amongst the rolling hills of Birmingham, Alabama, this Alsana location offers an intensive day treatment program with off-campus, recovery-oriented apartment living.

Alsana in Westlake Village offers three locations to help our clients on their journey to healing and balance.
Alsana Luna and Alsana Terra provide expert residential care in comfortable six-bed settings. Alsana Stella provides day treatment and intensive outpatient treatment. Alsana Westlake is now accepting admissions for RTC and day treatment.
