Alsana Alumni Program
Resource Center

The end of treatment is not the end of your story; it’s the beginning of a new chapter. At Alsana, we believe continued support matters. Through our alumni offerings, we create space for connection, reflection, and growth, so you can keep moving forward with steadiness and support.

Welcome, Alsana Alum!

Thank you for choosing to continue your recovery support with Alsana’s Alumni Program. I am Mary Elizabeth Akinaka, VP of Clinical Services. It is an honor for me and our Alumni Program to offer additional support in your recovery journey, and we welcome you!

The Alumni Program is a vital part of Alsana’s eating recovery community. Our goal is to help you stay connected and supported throughout your journey, while also encouraging autonomy. Please explore and utilize all the resources that you believe will be most useful for your continued recovery. If you have more specific questions, please reach out at Alumni.Program@Alsana.com.

You’re Always Part of Our Story.

At Alsana, your story doesn’t end when treatment does. Recovery continues to unfold over time, and we remain deeply committed to walking alongside you during every chapter.

As part of that commitment, we’ll check in from time to time to see how you’re doing. These moments are an opportunity to reflect on what’s feeling steady, where you’re finding growth, and where things may still feel challenging. Your experience matters—not only to your own journey, but to how we continue to evolve and care for others.

Each check-in takes about 20 minutes, and the insight you share is truly meaningful to our team. It helps us strengthen our approach, deepen our understanding, and ensure you have the continued support you deserve.

Because once you’re part of Alsana, you’re always part of our story.

Monthly Alumni Support Groups.

At Alsana, we believe healing happens in connection. As you transition from higher levels of care, we’re here to continue supporting you through ongoing group experiences designed to nurture that sense of community.

These groups offer a space to learn, reflect, and stay connected with guidance from a facilitator and encouragement from peers who understand the recovery journey. Together, they create an environment where you can feel supported as you continue forward.

While these groups can be a meaningful part of your recovery, they are not a substitute for individual therapy. We encourage you to continue working with your providers to ensure you’re receiving the care that best supports your needs.

To help maintain a safe and supportive space for everyone, we ask that you review our group guidelines before joining your first session.

Two-Week Intensives (PHP/IOP).

Relapse Prevention Support

Recovery isn’t linear. You’re not alone if challenges arise along the way! Moments of struggle don’t erase the progress you’ve made; they’re often part of the process. Having a thoughtful relapse prevention plan can help you navigate these moments with greater support and stability.

Our Two-Week Intensives are designed to help you reconnect with your recovery, strengthen the tools you’ve built, and regain momentum when you need it most. Whether you’re looking for additional support or a reset after a setback, this level of care offers a focused, compassionate path forward.

Alsana offers both virtual and in-person Two-Week Intensives at the PHP and IOP levels. Contact our team to learn more.

Stay Connected Between Chapters.

Recovery continues to unfold in everyday moments, and sometimes, a small reminder, a shared story, or a familiar voice can make all the difference.

By following Alsana on Instagram, you can keep up with our community in a way that feels supportive, accessible, and real. We share updates from our centers, upcoming event reminders, reflections from our leadership team, new blog posts, and thoughtful content to support you at every stage of your journey.

For a more personal and ongoing connection, we also invite you to join our private alumni community on Facebook. This space is designed for those who have been part of Alsana’s care and allows them to stay connected in a way that feels safe, supportive, and rooted in shared understanding. Within the group, you’ll find encouragement from peers who truly get it, opportunities to reflect on your own recovery journey, and gentle touchpoints that help you stay grounded in the work you’ve already done.

Whether you’re looking for encouragement, insight, or simply a gentle reminder that you’re not alone, we’re here.
