Teresa joined Alsana as an assessment specialist because she was intrigued by the opportunity to collaborate with a group of people who are invested in their professional and personal growth. She feels honored bearing witness to someone’s story and the opportunity to be there for them, and knowing their story is humbling helps her grow.
Previously, Teresa provided therapeutic services and treatment recommendations for children and adolescents with moderate to severe mental health diagnoses by collaborating with social workers, teachers, psychiatrists, and other community personnel. She believes all of these positions provided her with the experience to work with individuals facing various cultural and mental health issues.
Teresa obtained her Bachelor of Science in Child Development from California Polytechnic State University and her Masters of Science in Counseling Psychology from California Lutheran University. Teresa is also a registered marriage and family therapist associate in the state of California and has worked with different age groups and populations across therapeutic settings.
In her free time, Teresa enjoys hiking, painting and drawing.
