Early intervention for successful reintegration.

Treatment works best when delivered early. The risks of struggling with an eating disorder are not to be ignored, and treatment should not be delayed. vIOP can offer early intervention support for individuals with the medical stability to thrive within a virtual treatment environment. It’s also a valuable option for individuals who are transitioning from higher levels of care and want to hone their recovery skills with virtual peer support and more autonomy.

Early intervention can keep eating disorder behaviors contained before symptoms and health risks and higher levels of care are required. vIOP clients can continue to work with their outpatient team while in treatment, with minimal disruption to their daily lives.

Quality Considerations

  • All Alsana PHP/IOP programs, including virtual PHP/IOP, are Joint Commission accredited and have met or exceeded the Joint Commission’s rigorous performance standards.
  • vPHP/IOP treatment is provided by a licensed, Master’s-level clinician.
  • Virtual services are offered through a secure, user-friendly HIPAA-compliant and confidential platform.
  • Our clinicians have experience working with eating disorder clients in a virtual setting and our team is solely dedicated to ensuring virtual clients receive the same quality of care as those enrolled in a traditional (in-person) program.
  • We’ll work with your outpatient team for seamless treatment planning and symptom assessment.

All-Inclusive nutrition philosophy

With our “All-Inclusive Nutrition” approach, we believe in flexibility and enjoyment of foods without shame or judgment. Alsana’s All-Inclusive Nutrition approach embraces the usefulness of all foods, including those that are compact, innovative, and nutrient-rich, to aid in restoring and healing the brain, body, and gut microbiome. This approach broadens nutrition healing for our clients from all cultural and diverse backgrounds.  Our goal is to create food neutrality by taking out the moral judgment of food and focusing on nourishment, flexibility, and pleasure in the nutritional healing process.

Two-Week Intensives for relapse prevention

Eating disorder recovery is not linear, and eating disorder lapses happen. The good news is lapses do not have to turn into relapses. With support, you can nourish your hard-earned recovery and regain your balance.

Two-Week Intensives are relapse prevention programs at PHP/IOP levels of care, designed to support those struggling to maintain their recovery from eating disorders. Relapse prevention programming is available virtually and in person. If you or someone you know needs help, contact us today.

Program quality considerations

At Alsana, we know you have many options for eating disorder treatment. We would like to be your Eating Recovery Community, but ultimately we would like you to feel confident and supported in taking the next steps.

Here are some things to consider:

  • Alsana’s virtual IOP and PHP programs offer clients treatment by a Master’s-level clinician in the state where the client is located. This is an important requirement that all potential clients should consider in choosing a program for treatment.
...

  • Alsana’s virtual IOP and PHP program has been in development for several years. During this time Alsana has worked rigorously to obtain licensure in the majority of states across the United States. In rare instances where Alsana does not hold a state license, we will advocate for licensure reciprocity for each client individually during the COVID-19 pandemic.
  • Alsana is an advocate for clients in receiving insurance coverage for virtual programming. We are in-network for virtual programming with nearly all major payers. In addition, there are many plans that have agreed to waive co-pays.
  • Alsana’s virtual IOP and PHP digital platform ensures that all virtual services are confidential, HIPAA compliant and secure.
  • Alsana is a staunch supporter of broadening access to care for anyone struggling from an eating disorder. We have worked collaboratively with many other eating disorder providers to share our best practices and learn from theirs. We support all programs honoring each of these quality considerations.

Any client who admits to an Alsana virtual program can be assured that:
  • A licensed clinician eligible to provide treatment in the state in which your patient physically resides will be the one providing care.
  • All services are provided on a secure, confidential and HIPAA compliant platform.
  • They will receive evidenced-based clinical care with comprehensive medical oversight.
  • Their care will be covered by their insurance company.
  • A warm and relational team of caregivers is guiding them on their treatment journey.

All Alsana PHP and IOP programs, including our virtual programs, are Joint Commission accredited and have met or exceeded The Joint Commission’s rigorous performance standards.
