Early intervention for successful reintegration.

Treatment works best when delivered early. The risks of struggling with an eating disorder are not to be ignored, and treatment should not be delayed. vPHP can offer early intervention support for individuals with the medical stability to thrive within a virtual treatment environment.

Early intervention can keep eating disorder behaviors contained before symptoms and health risks and higher levels of care are required. vPHP clients can continue to work with their outpatient team while in treatment, with minimal disruption to their daily lives.

All-Inclusive nutrition philosophy

With our “All-Inclusive Nutrition” approach, we believe in flexibility and enjoyment of foods without shame or judgment. Alsana’s All-Inclusive Nutrition approach embraces the usefulness of all foods, including those that are compact, innovative, and nutrient-rich, to aid in restoring and healing the brain, body, and gut microbiome. This approach broadens nutrition healing for our clients from all cultural and diverse backgrounds.  Our goal is to create food neutrality by taking out the moral judgment of food and focusing on nourishment, flexibility, and pleasure in the nutritional healing process.

Two-Week Intensives for relapse prevention

Eating disorder recovery is not linear, and eating disorder lapses happen. The good news is lapses do not have to turn into relapses. With support, you can nourish your hard-earned recovery and regain your balance.

Two-Week Intensives are relapse prevention programs at PHP/IOP levels of care, designed to support those struggling to maintain their recovery from eating disorders. Relapse prevention programming is available virtually and in person. If you or someone you know needs help, contact us today.

Julia was inspired to join Alsana as the director of clinical services for the opportunity to grow with a team of people who are genuinely excited to teach, empower, and focus on delivering the best client care possible.

She most enjoys the relational aspect of her work, collaborating with the treatment team, teaching and inspiring clinicians through their journey, and group work with the clients. Previously, Julia has worked in private practice and held roles within treatment centers that include director of admissions, assistant clinical director, lead therapist and primary therapist.

Julia earned her Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy at Pepperdine University. She is a member of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists, IAEDP, Valley Federation of Eating Disorder Professionals, and is working toward becoming a certified eating disorder specialist and Cognitive Processing Therapist.

In her spare time, Julia loves nature, traveling and doing things out of her comfort zone. She likes to live by the philosophy of “do the harder thing” whether facing fears or inner personal growth. She is also currently teaching herself how to play the guitar.
