Lea Andes, RDN

 

As a Registered Dietitian for Alsana, Lea is responsible for helping clients nourish their bodies and create a healthy relationship with food. She is most passionate about helping people rediscover the pleasure of eating the foods they love and finds fulfillment in exploring these new fun foods with clients.

Lea graduated from the University of Hawaii at Manoa with a Bachelor of Science in Food Science and Human Nutrition. She completed her Dietetic Internship at LAC+USC Hospital in Los Angeles.

Before coming to Alsana, Lea worked in her own private practice as a Sports Dietitian helping bariatric athletes fuel their bodies for endurance events. She was also a Health Educator for Kaiser Permanente, working in both their Health Education and Behavioral Health Departments. Lea leads various health classes and specialized in working with those struggling with their eating disorders.

In her free time, Lea enjoys reading, swimming, and hiking.  With two young daughters, every day is an adventure; whether it is exploring in the kitchen or somewhere outdoors there is always tons of fun and a pinch of chaos.

As a primary therapist for Alsana, Justin Baker is responsible for support and care of the clients, and supporting each client with their emotional well-being. Justin Baker earned her Masters of Arts from John F Kennedy University, specializing in Holistic Counseling. Before coming to Alsana, Justin Baker worked as a trainee in a non-profit local organization offering affordable care to those in the community. In her free time, Justin enjoys spending time outdoors in the sun, doing yoga, meditation, taking care of her plant babies and her sweet dog Shiva. Justin is most passionate about healing and finds fulfillment in seeking knowledge and clarity in finding life purpose and the beauty that the journey of life provides us. Their background also includes being a certified yoga teacher, and spent some time in early childhood education.

Erin Carrigan

As Program Director for Alsana, Erin is responsible for the operations of Monterey’s Outpatient and Intensive outpatient programs.   This includes staffing, program adherence to policy and procedures, milieu management and scheduling.  Erin has earned her Bachelor of Science in psychology from Indiana University in Bloomington, IN and her Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling from Northwestern University in Evanston, IL.  Currently, Erin is pursuing her doctoral degree in Organizational Leadership and Counseling. 

Before coming to Alsana, Erin worked in a variety of mental health settings from both inpatient and outpatient settings focusing on eating disorders and other psychiatric disorders in many roles from a mental health technician to an assistant program director. 

In her free time, Erin enjoys spending time with her French Bulldog; Molly.  Enjoys spending time in the great outdoors, exploring new cultures, traveling, attending music concerts, diving into a self-help book and of course laughing. 

Erin is most passionate about size diversity and health most commonly known as Health at Every Size (HAES) in which she strongly wants to help people gain a better relationship with their bodies no matter the size and moving forward in a happier more authentic life.

Allison Tropf, MS, RD, CSSD

Allison Tropf is the Lead Registered Dietitian for Alsana in Monterey, California. Allison moved to Monterey in November 2019 to become a part of the Alsana family. Before Alsana, Allison owned a private practice, ALT Performance Nutrition, LLC, where she worked with adults and adolescents struggling with eating disorders and individual youth and adult athletes. Allison also served as a sports dietitian for professional athletic teams, collegiate teams, and athletic clubs, and high schools. Allison completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Dietetics from Michigan State University and her Master of Science degree in Exercise Physiology from Eastern Michigan University.

Allison completed her dietetic internship through Virginia State University and started her dietetics career in clinical dietetics. After a few years in the clinical world, Allison branched out to pursue her passion in sports nutrition and eating disorders, which she is so excited to continue doing with Alsana. Allison enjoys being outdoors, running, reading, hiking, fishing, archery, and learning new things in her spare time.

Arthur Turqueza, MA, LMFT

As a Primary Therapist at Clara PHP/IOP, Arthur enjoys empowering clients in their recovery. Arthur was a flight attendant for eleven years, and he has thirteen years of experience working in drug and alcohol rehabilitation before coming to Alsana. Arthur earned his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at the University of California, Santa Barbara, and his Master of Arts in Psychology at Chapman University.

During his first interview at Alsana, Arthur was inspired by the therapeutic staff and their backgrounds. He was especially drawn to Alsana’s Guiding Principles, most notably “Let your light shine and be awesome while being lovingly direct, with a balance between servant and leadership always putting clients first.”

Arthur is a Carmel local and world traveler. He enjoys anything that has to do with the beach, dancing, playing guitar, and spending time with his three-year-old rottweiler, Nubia.

Mallorey Gatti, Psy.D.

As a Primary Therapist at Alsana, Mallorey works with clients individually and in groups to support their eating disorder recovery journey. She is passionate about assisting clients towards finding peace in the totality of who they are: physical, mental, social, emotional, and spiritual beings. Mallorey believes full recovery from your eating disorder is possible and is excited to share in your journey towards recovery.

Mallorey is a licensed psychologist and earned her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Azusa Pacific University. She also holds her personal training certification from the National Strength and Conditioning Association and uses this knowledge to help inform appropriate movement in treatment.

Before coming to Alsana, Mallorey worked as Interim Eating Disorder Treatment Coordinator at UC Davis. She has worked and trained at several universities, an adult day treatment program, community mental health, and with middle and high school students.

In her free time, Mallorey enjoys spending time with her two cats, Dax and Rory. She also enjoys being out in nature, whether it is the beach or the mountains, and exploring new cities around the world.

As a Registered Dietitian at Clara PHP/IOP, Maddy enjoys empowering individuals through nutrition therapy so that they may adequately and confidently nourish themselves. She believes healing happens when we are intentional with ourselves and others, and she enjoys collaborating with all therapeutic modalities in pursuit of a fully integrative approach to eating disorder treatment. Maddy is inspired by Alsana’s commitments to treating the whole person and encouraging the language and culture of recovery.

Before coming to Alsana, Maddy had worked in all levels of eating disorder care from outpatient to residential.

Maddy earned her Bachelor of Science in Nutrition Dietetics at Auburn University and her Master of Science in Clinical Nutrition at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She also has her 200-hour yoga certification and is passionate about helping individuals find joy in movement and strengthen their mind-body connection.

Maddy is an avid reader and forever learner. In her spare time, you can find her practicing and teaching yoga, quoting movies, crying at live music, hiking, and hammock-ing with her ambiguous hound mix Luna.

Johnny Williamson, MD

Prior to joining Alsana, Johnny served as the Medical Director at Timberline Knolls Residential Treatment Center in the Chicagoland area, caring for individuals diagnosed with various eating disorders.  He has over 6 years of experience in the treatment of eating disorders.

Dr. Williamson completed his undergraduate degree at the University Of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.  He earned his medical degree at Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tennessee.  Subsequently, he completed both general psychiatry and child and adolescent residencies at the University of Illinois at Chicago.  Dr. Williamson spent much of his early career in community psychiatry, forensic psychiatry and hospital-based work.  More recently Dr. Williamson provides care in a mix of inpatient work, residential treatment and private practice.

Dr. Williamson is board-certified in General and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and has over 20 years of experience in mental health.

As a charge nurse with Alsana, Ebony enjoys having direct interaction with clients and working with the company’s knowledgeable staff. She also loves witnessing each client’s recoveries and how a change of perspective can alter actions and lives.

Ebony holds an Associates degree in natural science and has 13 years of experience in acute care and subacute care. She is IV certified, a certified phlebotomist, and a licensed vocational nurse.

A former professional skater, Ebony enjoys photography, going to the movies, and helping people in any capacity she can.

As the Director of Clinical Services at Alsana Clara, Carissa is inspired by her colleagues’ passion and enthusiasm and loves the collaborative environment. She believes healing happens in community and positive relationships for clients and staff alike.
Previously, Carissa was a residential counselor and a primary therapist at other eating disorder treatment centers, and former lead therapist at Alsana.

Carissa graduated from the University of Oregon with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and the University of Massachusetts-Boston with a Master of Science in Family Therapy.

In her free time, Carissa enjoys hiking, being outside, and watching The Office on repeat. She also loves spending time with her one-tooth, sassy cat named Wednesday.
